Hot trends for Spring and their affordable options

Hey Everyone,
I'm Michelle, new to the blog-sphere.

In broad daylight im a busy high tech worker, but as soon as I get home- I come out of my work shell into the fab new York fashion lights. I recently moved to manhattan (from a tinytiny country), and I'm fashion-drooling ever since!

I Wanted to kick off my blog with a few fashion- spring/end of winter trends (although New York winter is not nearly over!!).

1)  Layers, layers, layers- I absolutely adore this look.  My favorite combination would be a buttoned down printed long-sleeve shirt- with a one color sweater on top. Add a big bold necklace and youre ready to go!
for the summer- a funky tee with fun writing/print and a long lacy sleeveless tank popping from underneath (preferably in a fun neon color :) ).

2) Color block- use wisely. Take a look at this color wheel. Every color matches the color that shares a row with him.

Wheel of colors; for example: olive &maroon , yellow &pink.

3) The 90's- I had a good time growing up in the era. One of my all-time favorite band is  Pearl Jam, gods of the 90's. I own this magnificent pair of 90's style Pearl Jam shoes that fits right into this mega trend.
A Nice way to incorporate a touch of 90's into your look would be a maxi skirt with a tight tank top and a over sized jean button shirt. For a less baggy look: Tie the shirt's ends.

4)   Pastel shade- trend that comes up almost every summer. Pastel color combinations always makes me feel peaceful.                                                                                      Carful: Over-pasteling yourself will give you a childish look. mix-and-match with jeans/neon/flower pieces and you will really pop.

5) prints.
6)  Red pieces- the hottest winter trend as you've all seen on the streets are red skinny pant with a subtle top- mostly creams/greys or black for the white-stripes-statement-chick. This spring we'll see most of the red on lips. As a redhead, I'm still trying to find the courage (and the shade) to pull off red lips.
7) Tangerine - as a redheaded girl, I'll be cheering this one from the bleachers.  If you're not like me- buy yourself a tangerine piece! For a less courageous girls- try a lacy tangerine shirt that you can pair up with calming white underneath.
