Product Review: Undercover Pot by Laura Mercier

Hello,

I want to review the Laura Mercier's Undercover Pot for you guys, so here we go:
I'll start with how I got to buying this product (and why). Ever since I can remember myself, I've had dark purplish circles. Not because I didn't sleep (I have a talent for sleeping 12+ hours straight), but because I have REALLY thin and transparent skin under my eyes.
Before discovering LM's wonderful product, I was using Clinique's Airbrush Concealer (which don't get me wrong is really awesome, but it's not very pigmented so it did nothing for me, but yet, I kept using it). I owned this from way back when it was in a that messy tube.

So button line, in the last year I really started getting into make up, watching lots of YouTube videos, reading blogs and browsing Sephora for hours! (mostly online)- and decided that it's time to get these bad boys under my eyes under control.

I walked into Sephora wanting to get Bobbi Brown's brightening concealer pot (will try that when I run out of the LM one), but the sweet sales lady geared me towards the LM stand.
After she applied it, that's it- I was sold.

Application:
Step 1: On the left side is the "Secret Camouflage" and the claim (taken from sephora.com): "The unique Secret Camouflage formula is oil-free and stays in place all day long to cover blemishes, scars, and imperfections."
So far, I only used it to counteract the purple under my eye, before I put on the concealer, and it certainly does the job.
The texture is like you freeze a pressed eye shadow, and then use it (sorry about the bad description, hope it makes sense!)
Step 2: On the right side is the "Secret Concealer" (taken from sephora.com): "Secret Concealer—its emollient formula allows for a smooth application in the sensitive eye area."
and it really lives up to that promise. It brightens my eye area, and makes me look really awakened. The texture is creamy and it's really pigmented- so you don't need to use a lot of product.
step 3: Set your paint job. Located under the products from step 1,2. There's a screw-able compartment that contains the translucent powder (see in the pics). Nothing special to say about it. I don't have oily skin so not a must have step for me.

ok, on to some pics!

Step 1,2
Step 3

Quick summary:
1) Is it worth the time when i'm rushing out the door in the morning: YES (takes 2-3 min)
2) How do I apply it? I use the Sigma F70 concealer brush from step 1,2 and then Sigma E40 tapered blending for step 3. I tried to apply with my fingers once, took a lot of time and didn't look as good.
3) Price: $34 (USD). Yep, on the pricey side. I have it almost 5 months now and didn't hit pan yet. I use it daily. Undercover Pot on Sephora.com.
4) A bit about myself- I'm 22, have dry-normal very fair skin.

I purchased mine from the lovely Sephora Soho location in nyc.

Thanks for reading,
Michelle.
